Alternative Press broke the news that Lido Beach, who released their last effort in 2013, are reuniting for a new record and some shows! The band released their debut album in 2008 entitled ‘Fake Hellos, Real Goodbyes.’ The band has a stacked resume as they have shared the stage with some now alternative rock/emo classics such as The Cab, Emery, and American Hi-Fi.
The interesting thing about Lido Beach is where some of the members are what they have been doing. Frontman Scott Waldman has been holding down the fort on his own Idobi Radio show ‘Waldman’s Words’. You can tune into the show Tuesday’s 8pmEST/5pm PST at https://idobi.com/show/waldmans-words/.
We reached out to Scott to get his ‘words’ on the Lido Beach reunion.
‘It’s the ten year anniversary of our first show ever. We’ve inspired tattoos, friendships, sweaty hugs, and real hellos. It seems like a start to say thank you’
Waldman then tells us whats different this time around with being in Lido Beach:
“I’ve been managing for two years, so I’ve learned a bit more about the business side. It’ll be fun to utilize that skill set.”
going into the studio this Fall to work on new music since their last EP, again which came out in 2013. Lido Beach is performing their comeback shows in the two cities in which we all thought it was done for good, in New York and Los Angeles. The show will have the support from Conversing With Oceans, My Sword And Shield, Stringer at The Knitting Factory on November 28.
