Standby Records band Light The Fire dropped their new LP, third overall, called ‘Compassion In Unlikely Places’. With that, we have the pleasure of premiering their new video ‘The Departed’ today as well.
This new record didn’t come without any change, however, as there was a lineup change with guitarist Seth Davis stepping up to the lead vocalist position and the addition of new guitar player/backup vocalist Trey Hawkins. That was not a cause for alarm though because Light The Fire logged a very nice streaming number with ‘The Void’, at 975,000 streams on Spotify along with almost 42,000 views on YouTube. You can watch the premiere below:
About the new Light The Fire album, bassist Andrew Penland said:
[The new record] Our most ambitious yet. We worked very hard to explore our sound and really focus in so we can take another step as artists. Also, Seth made it a point to explore new lyrical topics and capture the emotional depth and delivery of everything he was trying to say.”
