If the resurgence of many scene bands coming back over the last two years hasn’t been good already, today we got a little teaser that A Skylit Drive will be doing SOMETHING soon and we find out this week, we will update you with what that is when it is announced.

A Brief Introduction To A Recap…

A Skylit Drive debuted in 2007 with the EP She Watched The Sky which is still in this writer’s opinion one of the best to ever come from the Post-Hardcore genre. The single Drown The City is probably the favorite of their entire catalog song-wise.

A Skylit Drive also in the opinions of many paved the way and were one of the first few popular bands with the high singing by the frontman, both done by original singer Jordan Blake and then Michael ‘Jag’ Jagman. Their sound and style of doing this for the time they came along was new, different, and still looked down upon in ways by some. Hell, even Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens) still gets shit for singing that way ten years into his career also.

However, in 2008 their debut LP Wires…And The Concept Of Breathing was released with new frontman Michael Jagman aka Jag replacing Jordan Blake.

The next year in 2009, A Skylit Drive dropped probably the favorite of their LPs Adelphia.

Through the years from 2011-2015, they released a few more records with various of lineup changes and dropped off the radar quite a bit compared to their earlier years, eventually going on a hiatus in 2017 due to a dispute between the band.

ASD was the last LP A Skylit Drive released, 2015

Today, the band posted a teaser on facebook with the date 6/28. While it is the ten-year mark for Adelphia, something more permanent seems to be brewing, least we hope it is. The video also lists SBG Records, so that would lead us to believe it is new music. This label has been home to Slaves, Famous Last Words, among others over the years. We also don’t know who will be involved in this lineup. Whatever it may be, we find out shortly!
