If you have any friends in the music industry in any form or fashion you need to check on them, give them a hug, do something. Things are really getting tough for everyone involved in the industry. In the latest round of announcements of cancellations and postponed shows, Silverstein and Killswitch Engage have both made announcements.

Silverstein is currently on their 20 YR Tour with 4 Year Strong and I, The Mighty, celebrating 20 Years of Silverstein. Well, the band has taken to Facebook to announce the tour will be rescheduled. Read the band’s official statement below.

We are sad to announce we are postponing the remainder of our 20th Anniversary Tour. It’s extremely disheartening for us and we know it’s equally frustrating for everyone who was planning to come out to the shows.
With the COVID-19 pandemic getting worse, we didn’t want to put our fans in harms way and postponing the tour is the right thing to do. we are almost done rescheduling the tour and the new dates will be up very soon. All previously sold tickets will be honoured.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported us so far on this incredible run. to everyone who supported us so far on the incredible run. To everyone else, we will see you soon!

Alongside Silverstein, Killswitch Engage has also announced they would be postponing the remainder of their dates on the Atonement Tour 2020 with August Burns Red and Light The Torch. Read the band’s official statement below.

Folks,
We have an unfortunate announcement to make, though we suspect most of you won’t be surprised. The rest of the dates on our current Atonement US headline tour with August Burns Red and Light The Torch have now officially been postponed. With all the bans being imposed on gatherings and all the health concerns involved, there was simply no way around it.
There’s nothing we enjoy more than playing for our fans, and if the first two shows of this tour were any indication, this was going to be one of the most fun tours we’ve ever had.
That said, these shows are not canceled, they are postponed. We definitely plan on coming back soon to play for all of you. For now, please hold onto your tickets. As soon as we have all of the rescheduled dates we will let you all know.
As always, thanks so much for your continued support. We couldn’t do this without you. We are grateful.
Please take care of yourselves.
With much love,
KsE
