It’s no secret the Coronavirus has plagued the music industry and entertainment/sports industry in general. Both Coachella and Stagecoach have been postponed till later this year, SXSW has been canceled, Pearl Jam has postponed their upcoming tour. The NBA has announced they’re suspending games, NCAA has special guidelines for the upcoming tournament. So no matter your thoughts on Coronavirus, it’s affecting the world in more ways than people getting sick. With the announcements of so many festivals, tours and sporting events postponing events or canceling them all together it’s left many festival-goers wondering where the promoters of the Spring’s biggest music festivals stood. Well, Danny Hayes of DWP Presents, has made the following statement via Facebook.
I’ve been sitting here tonight in disbelief watching the NBA cancel its season and the Washington Governor ban all public events of more than 250 people. So I can no longer promise that our Spring festivals will happen.

Here’s what I can promise:
1. DWP will not of its own volition cancel a festival. It will require an order from an empowered elected official or governing body.
2. If a DWP festival does get cancelled, we will ABSOLUTELY and unequivocally offer refunds on all tickets.
3. We will do our best to reschedule the effected festival.
4. We won’t go down without a fight!!
I am asking all of you to spread the word that it is 100% safe to buy your tickets to a DWP festival because I am personally guaranteeing the refund if the worst happens.
I am doing my best to otherwise not comment on the Corona Virus and the politics, or my personal feelings, about this situation. DWP takes seriously the advice and guidance from the CDC and The WHO. That said, I care most about you guys and delivering the experiences you have come to expect from us. I will never sacrifice your safety but I am also pained by the notion that our events could be unnecessarily effected by events beyond our control.Much love and appreciation for all your support.

DWP Presents are the masterminds behind festivals, like Epicenter, Welcome To Rockville, Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life and More. Now, this does not guarantee that one of their festivals will not be canceled or postponed for circumstances outside of DWP’s control, however as it stands right now, the show will go on.
