It has been a few weeks since the fatal massacre in Florida in which many young bright minds and caring educators were killed. Since this tragedy and act of terrorism, the gun debate has been reignited and has been taken the face of survivors of the shooting calling for harsh gun regulations. Many have become emotional on both sides of the debate and today The Devil Wears Prada released a new shirt in support of the movement.

On their Facebook, the band posted this:

NO MORE / We wish brave students didn’t have to work so tirelessly for their lives and for the gun reform this nation so desperately needs. We wish we didn’t need to write Lock & Load a few years ago. More than anything we wish so many hundreds hadn’t lost their lives needlessly. With that we’ll have this tshirt for sale the week of March 5th through the 9th at TDWPstore.com. In support for the march coming up towards the end of the month and that which it stands for, 100% of profits go to #MARCHFOROURLIVES.

You can go support the cause by clicking the link above. The Devil Wears Prada taking this stand has ignited very mixed reactions by fans of the band. Some have even called off support over this or accused them of selling out. However one feels, SOMETHING has to be done. It’s not a political issue but a safety issue. The Devil Wears Prada recognizes that and is using their platform to speak out.

The Devil Wears Prada is also heading out on the road with A Day To Remember, Papa Roach, and Falling In Reverse and you can find tickets to that HERE.
