Off the band’s latest release “It’s not Easy Being Human” the South Carolina natives Islander have released a new music video for the title track featuring Lacey Sturm. Islander vocalist Mikey

not only wrote the lyric for “It’s Not Easy Being Human” but also wrote, directed and shot the video for it, and on an iPhone I might add. Islander had this to say about the making of this video.

Thank you to our fans for participating in this video. Life isn’t always easy. However, it’s always worth it. We love you.

It’s Not Easy Being Human Lyrics

They keep pointing at me
Telling me what’s wrong with me
They keep laughing about me
behind my back
I need a little sunshine & daydreams
A little sunshine & daydreams

It’s not easy being human
It’s getting harder to breathe in this world
It’s not easy being human
Aren’t you dying to feel alive?

Can you look me in the eyes
And know how I feel inside
The same mistakes you have are mine
Cant you feel my heart racing
Feel the rhythm
it beats the same as yours does
Different melody with the same wrongs
Yeah we all sing the same song

It’s not easy being human
It’s getting harder to breathe in this world
It’s not easy being human
Aren’t you dying to feel alive?
It’s not easy being human
It’s getting harder to see in this world
It’s not easy being human
Aren’t you dying to feel alive?

Please have grace and mercy on me
Have grace and mercy
have grace and mercy on me
Have grace and mercy

It’s not easy being human
It’s getting harder to breathe in this world
It’s not easy being human
Aren’t you dying to feel alive?
