Run For Your Lives Tour 2026 Megadeth + Iron Maiden

October 9, 2026

What a time to be alive when you can go see a band live that your Dad always told you about seeing when he was young. Megadeth did not disappoint! I was slightly skeptical due to their age, and it was my first time seeing them live, but man, do they put on a show! They started their set with Wake Up Dead, which was awesome. I don’t personally like when a legacy band comes out playing an unknown new track that the fans probably wouldn’t pick. Overall, I was really impressed with their set and glad I got to finally see them live before they allegedly hang up their gloves.

Iron Maiden has played a huge role in shaping my music taste. I remember the 45-minute car rides with my Dad to school as he played all his favorite 70/80’s metal bands, which always included some Iron Maiden in the rotation. Prior to Iron Maiden taking the stage, their tour manager took time to introduce herself and debrief us on what to expect for the show. I thought that was worth mentioning for how hospitable and detail-oriented they are for their shows. The intro video was a very neat nod to their humble beginnings playing at pubs and smaller venues in England. They started their set with Murders in the Rue Morgue. In fact, the first 3 songs were from their 1981 “Killers” album. During their first 3 , the crowd of younger and older fans went nuts. When they played the title track, Killer, the mascot Eddie, came on stage with an axe in an attempt to kill the band members. I really appreciate the set design for Iron Maiden, and I am also very impressed with their longevity as artists and how they haven’t aged at all on stage. I highly recommend checking them out live and adding their live show to your bucket list.
