WEDNESDAY 13 looks the part, sounds the part, and delivers horror pop punk exactly the way it should be done on the live version of “I Walked With A Zombie.”
The song is an incredibly catchy tune with that perfect mix of punk attitude, horror imagery, and a chorus built for a crowd to sing along with. It actually reminds me of a band I have always liked, The Deadlines, especially in the way the horror aesthetic and punk rock energy work together without either feeling forced.
“I Walked With A Zombie” has some history behind it as well. Wednesday 13 says it all started 21 years ago with the song, which was his first single. More than two decades later, it has clearly stood the test of time. Watching thousands of people sing along makes it obvious why it remains a fan favorite.
The live video was filmed during WEDNESDAY 13’s performance at Poland’s Pol’and’Rock Festival 2025, in front of a reported 70,000 people. The crowd is really into the song, and that makes the video even more fun to watch. Poland knows how to rock!
The performance comes from the new live album Un-Alive from Pol’and’Rock 2025, released September 25, 2026, through Napalm Records. The career-spanning release includes material from both WEDNESDAY 13 and Murderdolls, making “I Walked With A Zombie” just one piece of a much larger celebration of his catalog.
Horror pop punk done well. Catchy song, great crowd, cool live video, and a band that absolutely looks like they belong on that stage.
