Bad Omens are back with a dark, cinematic new single, “Specter”. This is the band’s first big release since their 2022 gold-certified album The Death of Peace of Mind, and it takes their signature atmospheric metalcore sound into even moodier, more haunting territory.

The new track comes with a beautifully eerie music video directed by frontman Noah Sebastian alongside longtime creative partner NICO. The visual feels like a psychological horror film, blending slow-burn tension and surreal imagery reminiscent of directors like Ari Aster and M. Night Shyamalan.

Before the release, Bad Omens built hype with mysterious teasers on social media featuring actor Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead). In the clips, Hurst plays a therapist talking to a boy dressed as a ghost, hinting at the song’s themes of isolation, identity, and transformation.

Bad Omens Specter Lyrics

Oh I can’t leave, but I can’t be in this place
This must all be an illusion skipping frames
Years of living with a cold and empty space
And it haunts me every time I think I’m safe
Do you feel love? I know I don’t
With no one to hold
Do you feel love, love, love?
Do you feel love?
When you’re alone
Do you feel at home?
Do you feel love, love, love?
Do you feel?
Like a frenzy, like an ocean overflowed
This must all be just an accident at most
Oh I’m changing, and I feel more like a ghost
Like a specter in your headlights on the road
Do you feel love? I know I don’t
With no one to hold
Do you feel love, love, love?
Do you feel love?
When you’re alone
Do you feel at home?
Do you feel love, love, love?
Do you feel love?
Something you’re missing made you who you were
Because I’ve kept my distance, it just made it worse
But I’ve learned to live with the way that it hurts
Something you’re missing made you who you were
Because I’ve kept my distance, it just made it worse
But I’ve learned to live with the way that it hurts
Do you feel love, love, love, love? —-
