Swedish metal titans In Flames have officially announced the departure of drummer Tanner Wayne, marking the end of a significant chapter in the band’s recent history. The news was shared via the band’s social media channels with a heartfelt statement reflecting both gratitude and respect for Wayne’s contributions.
“It is with profound gratitude and appreciation that we announce our creative decision to part ways with Tanner Wayne. Tanner Wayne joined In Flames in 2018, stepping in behind the drum kit during a period of transition for the band. Known for his technical skill and intensity, Wayne helped drive the band’s evolution through albums like I, The Mask and Foregone, contributing to both the studio sound and the band’s explosive live performances.
While the band has not yet announced a permanent replacement, they assured fans that touring plans remain intact, promising to hit the road this summer.
