Japanese metalcore band Crossfaith has announced they are going on an indefinite hiatus. The band shared a statement with fans today, citing the need to “rebuild our foundation” after careful discussion among the members.


The band’s full statement reads:


After careful and thorough discussions among the members about our future, we have decided to take an indefinite hiatus as a band, as we believe it is necessary to take this time to reflect on who we are as Crossfaith and to rebuild our foundation.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported us, and we sincerely apologize for having to deliver such news.
Each member will continue their individual activities with sincerity and dedication.


Crossfaith, known for their unique blend of metalcore, industrial, and electronic music, has been a prominent fixture in the international metal scene for over a decade. The band’s last album, “EX_MACHINA,” was released in 2018. The band did not provide a timeline for when they might return. Fans can follow the individual members for updates on their solo projects.
