Who: Delain & Hammerfall
Where: Baltimore Soundstage in Baltimore, Maryland

As the Spring concert season starts to heat up, I figured I’d start it out with another round of some Swedish Metal bands! This time taking over Baltimore Sou stage, was Delain and Hammerfall. A co-headlining run infront of a packed crowed.
Formed in the early 90’s, and fueled fresh off a new record “Built to Last” released in November, Hammerfall took the stage first to a rowdy crowd. Hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden, Hammerfall took their extensive discography on a roll featuring tracks from nine different albums. No matter if you’re a fan of their older work, or their newer work, you won’t be disappointed with their setlist. The album getting the most plays (3) was their latest, entitled “Built to Last” that dropped this past fall. Hammerfall hasn’t lost a beat and brings every ounce of energy they did to the stage 15 years ago.
After Hammerfall’s came to a close, everyone went to grab some drinks and come back to watch Delain. Delain comes from Zwolle, Germany and is fronted by Charlotte Weasels. Delain followed suit of Hammerfall, playing a wide selection covering most of their discography. They had a beautiful lit stage at all times, nd had smiles on their faces at all times. I love watching bands that enjoy their performances as much as the crowd does, and they all left, myself included with a smile on their faces as well. I’ve been dying to see Delain for a long time, and definitely can’t wait for their next show.
