Hip Hop/Metalcore band Backwordz release a cover yesterday in tribute to Linkin Park and the late Chester Bennington. Backwordz covered the song “Waiting For The End” which you can download/stream now as well.

They took to Facebook to talk about it:

“There’s absolutely NO secret that Linkin Park left a lasting imprint, that influenced bands like ourselves. When we heard the news that Chester Bennington took his own life, you can imagine how it made us feel.

So as a tribute, we covered Waiting For The End.

#RIPChester”

Chester Bennington tragically hung himself on July 20 of this year. He was also laid to rest this past weekend which saw tons of memorials made from fans. Rolling Stone reports that it was a prvate service held at South Coast Botanical Garden in Palos Verdes Estates, California. The ceremony included over 500 family members and friends including the singer’s bandmates from Linkin Park and Stone Temple Pilots.

Backwordz also dropped their debut record earlier this year as well entitled “Veracity”. Though unsigned, it was released under a partnership with Stay Sick Recordings. The band and especially frontman Eric July, is very passionate about libertarian views in which July is also a commentator on.
