This album is the first I’ve ever heard of Brigades, but let me tell you, as a new fan, it’s incredible! They have a kind of punk, almost metal feel to them. If you’ve never heard of them, this album is a great place to start.
Starting the album off with the title track “Indefinite” it really opens up the album, starting slow but heavy and loud. Their single “Enemy” is a fast paced song that really hooks you into the feel and gets you moving. “My Last Heart Attack” is a great song that kind of slows down the album a bit, still delivering a powerful feel. Closing the album is “Cyanide Chaser” and it is a heavy, slower paced song that can put you in a trance as you relax and slowly bounce with the rhythm.
To me they sound like a mix between The Used and Brand New, a bit of punk and a bit of metal, and I love it. Whether you’re already a fan or you’ve never heard of them before, I highly suggest you go check out this new album from Brigades, “Indefinite”. It really is awesome and worth your time to listen to.
