With Christmas a few days away we thought it would be nice to give you guys a little holiday cheer. Sorry we’re not mailing you guys Christmas gifts, or anything like that, we’re going to give you something a little different. We’ve done a little searching and we found that several of your favorite artists have done their very own Christmas tunes. So here you go, here’s 10 times your favorite artists released a Christmas jam.
1: Radiohead ” Winter Wonderland: Back in 2002 Radiohead took part in an experimental webcast, during which the played their rendition of “Winter Wonderland” Check it out below.
2: Weezer: O Come All Ye Faithful: In 2008 the boys in Weezer released a 6 song holiday EP all done up in Weezer style. Check out their version of on “O Come All Ye Faithful” below.
3: Far FEAT Chino Moreno of Deftones “Feed The World (Do They Know it’s Christmas): In 2003 a band from Sacramento Ca teamed up with Nu-Metal legend Chino Moreno of Deftones to bring you their version of “Feed The World (Do They Know it’s Christmas) This joint venture was part of an Aids Charity Compilation. 4: Scott Weiland O’ Holy Night: The former Velvet Revolver and Stone Temple Pilots front-man not only released a Christmas cover, he released a full Christmas album in 2011. Check out his version of “O’ Holy Night” below.
5: August Burns Red “Frosty The Snowman”: From their 2012 Holiday release “Sleddin Hill”, the boys in August Burns Red rocked out your favorite Christmas Tunes. Check out Frosty The Snowman below.
6: Spoken “Mary Did Your Know”: Long before they were rocking out with Matty Mullins of Memphis May Fire, rockers Spoken were on a label called Tooth & Nail. During which time Tooth and Nail released a Christmas compilation known as Happy Christmas Vol. 4 On which the band released their version of the Christmas classic “Mary Did You Know”.
7: Ron Halford (Judas Priest) “What Child Is This”: You can’t have a list of rockers who have put out Christmas tunes and not mention the mighty Ron Halford from Judas Priest. In 2009 Halford released “Halford III: Winter Songs” which featured “What Child Is This” Check it out below.
8: EMERY “Last Christmas”: Long before the band were putting out their own Christmas EP (Which you can get for FREE or Pay What You Want HERE) The band took part in a compilation CD “Taste Of Christmas” (A Play on Taste of Chaos) in 2005, which feature many of your favorite artists like Plain White T’s, The Used, Funeral For A Friend and more. 9: Skindred “Jungle Bells”: Just like Emery Skindred took part in the “Taste of Christmas” Compilation with their version of “Jingle Bells” or as they call “Jungle Bells”.
10: Relient K “Deck The Halls”: You can’t have a list of Christmas Jams and not throw a little pop punk in there. In 2007 Christian Pop Punk band Relient K released “Let It Snow, Let It Reindeer” featuring 17 Christmas covers. Check out “Deck The Halls” Below.
